The Major League Baseball team that is based in Montreal, Quebec from the season of 1969 up to the end of the term of 2004. The team was then moved to the Washington, DC. The team’s name was then changed to Washington Nationals. At present, they are called as the Washington Nationals.The team was established in the season of 1969 as an expansion team and the initial majority owner was Charles Bronfman. He was also the major shareholder in Seagram. From 1969 up to the period of 1976, the team’s stadium was in the Jarry Park Stadium. In 1976, they were then moved to the Olympic, Stadium in Montreal. They stayed there until the season of 2004. The first game of the Montreal Expos that they were able to win was on April 8, 1969. That game was played against the New York Mets and it was held at the Shea Stadium.
